Shots and Flea Protection

Each dog coming into our facility must be up-to-date on vaccinations for the safety of your dog, other dogs, and our staff.  We will keep records for your dog on file.

Before boarding your dog, we must have written documentation from your vet proving your dog is current with all required Alabama and Montgomery County vaccinations.  We will accept copies of invoices that document your dog’s shot history and when they expire. Proof also can be emailed to us or they can be brought with you. If we are picking up your dog with The Paw Taxi we must have verifications before pickup.

For your dog’s protection we require the following current vaccinations:

  • Rabies
  • DHPP
  • Bordatella (to prevent Kennel Cough)

If your veterinarian’s recommendation for vaccinations are different from our requirements, please follow your vet’s advice, and send a note from the vet stating the differences.

*Please note that the Bordatella vaccine may not always be given as part of your dog’s annual vaccinations. You may need to request it from your vet.  It should be given at least five days in advance of your dogs stay for it to be fully effective.

Flea and Tick Prevention:
All dogs are required to be on flea and tick prevention such as Program, Sentinel, Frontline, Advantage, or Revolution.
